As Miss Teen Canada-World, I would strive to be a healthy role model for people of all natures. I want to make a difference in developing countries by helping children receive a proper education and the basic necessities for life. I truly believe that you can do anything you set your mind to as long as you work hard at it.
Vanetta Martens 's bio...
Vanetta is currently an active grade 11 student at West Point Grey Academy School. She excels in a series of competitive sports including volleyball, basketball, soccer, tennis, and, track & field. Her volleyball team qualified for the Provincial Championships, placing fifth in the province. At her school, she has volunteered for fashions shows to raise money for the Children’s Arthritis Foundation. Vanetta has helped her sister create the non-profit organization called the Fight It Foundation. FIF was constructed to help children in developing countries meet their basic necessities. She has helped fundraise for a separate project in Kenya to bring purified water to a community. She truly believes in the slogan, “Be your own kind of beautiful” because within difference lies perpetual beauty. Vanetta hopes to be a role model for today’s youth dealing with the issues faced by today’s teens, including the pressures to conform to societal standards, as well as body image and self-esteem issues. Words used to describe Vanetta are athletic, tenacious, creative, and perceptive.
