I am excited about the upcoming year and all that I'll be doing in my community, across the country and with Free the Children. The experience in competing and becoming Miss Teen Canada-World has been fabulous and I know this next year will be unbelievable.

To be a positive role model for young girls in my community, region, province and country in order to show them that anything is possible with a little bit of effort and hard work. Miss Teen Canada-World will give me the chance to pass on this message, as it will allow me to share stories and experiences to prove that yes, you can do it!
Karmen Guillas's bio...
Karmen Guillas is a small town girl with high set goals and huge dreams! She is 18 years old and a grade 12 student from Russell, Manitoba. Karmen shows academic excellence, as she strives to graduate with honours this coming June. After graduation, she plans to enter the field of nursing and eventually specialize in the field of Operating Room. Karmen is trained in dance, mainly Ballet, Contemporary Jazz and Belly Dance. Other interests include snowboarding, playing high intensity fastball and travelling. Karmen describes herself as outgoing, an over achiever, determined and extremely caring and compassionate. She hopes to place in the top 15 so she can set a great example for young women in her community, region and province and to help address issues facing teens today. Karmen believes in putting in a full effort; that is how dreams come true.
