I am excited about the upcoming year and all that I'll be doing in my community, across the country and with Free the Children. The experience in competing and becoming Miss Teen Canada-World has been fabulous and I know this next year will be unbelievable.

A powerful quote… As delivered from the motivational speech of 17 year old Danika Landry of West Nipisising, Ontario, she has been delivering her speech not only with words, but by example since her title of Miss West Nipissing 2007. She is honored to continue delivering her message of being true to yourself by sustaining from drugs and alcohol consumption to teens with her recent title of” Miss North Ontario Regional Canada 2009”. Not only is Miss Landry an example to teens, she has proven to be dedicated to fundraise for many causes, most recently for “Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer” which earned her the Miss Ambassador Award at the Miss North Ontario Regional Canada Pageant 2009.
Danika is currently enrolled at the “Complexions International Academy of Make-up and Artistry School“ in Toronto commencing in September 2009. She continues to maintain a good personal balance, by being dedicated to her passion of belly dancing, and to her family restaurant where she has been able to help her family manage a staff of 12 since the young age of 14. Danika is proud to say to young teens that working hard brings great rewards!! With all this said, it is incredible that this young lady still finds time to work with the West Nipissing Chamber of Commerce to fundraise for her local cancer chapter, and with the “Community Living of West Nipissing“ annual gala event to fundraise for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
It is by example of her dedication of staying true to who she is, that Danika is able to encourage teens to love and accept who they are. Danika strives to bring her motivational message to teens across Canada. It is with this objective, that she proudly participates as Northern Ontario’s ambassador in her effort to become Miss Teen Canada World for 2009.
