Samantha Fraughton

Samantha is an 18-year-old honours student and performer. She relishes any opportunity to be in the spotlight, whether through community theatre, dance or piano. Samantha is passionate about the arts, and enjoys drawing, painting, and sculpting. In high school she received both the highest mark in art and the artist of the year distinction. An award-winning pianist, Samantha has both opened for professional musicians, and played as part of a headline group. Sam is an avid runner and a certified lifeguard; she also enjoys dancing, snowboarding and skiing. In 2007, Samantha travelled to Ottawa as a CanWest Canspell national spelling bee finalist. She has been awarded a City of Fort Saskatchewan ambassadorship, and has also been recognized with the City Leadership award. Samantha has attended numerous leadership conferences, and her volunteerism has included helping the environment and senior citizens. After graduation, Samantha plans to study Theatre Arts at university.
