
Judges
Miss Teen Canada-World strongly believes that each finalist in the competition deserves fair and equal consideration. Therefore, we select those individuals who are the best in their field and they are chosen from a variety of fields such as Modeling, Television, Magazines, Pageantry and more. There will be up to six judges scoring in a compulsory categories and each one will be looking for specific qualities that reflect the individual’s leadership, poise, commitment, presence and behavior.
Meet Our Judges
Maureen Fenn (Moe)
Maureen is a seasoned expert in the art of guiding people from all walks of life. She shines when it comes to helping them to find their place in the world through counseling, motivating, and coaching.
Maureen had great success as a founder and co owner of a prominent Toronto based recruitment firm for many years. After 16 years, Moe’s next career had her matching people once again; only this time in the role of the Executive director of the largest modeling and acting academy in North America. Not one to give up on enhancing peoples’ lives, she became the leader of a successful team of relationship consultants – (who matched romance seekers and life partners) across the GTA.
Moe joined the team of career matchmakers at DWP in 2008, bringing with her a colourful persona, joie d’vivre, and contagious enthusiasm.
Aside from her obvious flair for style and fashion, Moe has enjoyed time as a baseball player, drag racing competitor, an active volunteer counselor with the breast cancer society, and a motivational speaker to college students!
In addition to this busy schedule – Maureen is often found on the side lines!!! Still motivating, still coaching – supporting her young grandchildren’s hockey “careers’.
Angeline McDonald – Owner, Bells & Bows Bridal Centre.
Angeline McDonald is an accomplished businesswoman and premier supplier of pageant, graduation and bridal gowns. She has been in the bridal industry for 20 years. Angeline recognizes the contributions pageants make to women’s lives worldwide and that “Glamorous has no limits”. Special highlights for Angeline include being the official wedding planner for Wedding Wish 2008-09 (Global TV), astounding stage shows across provinces and the winner of “Best of the Best 2010, 2011, and 2012 Bridal Centre” for Southern Alberta. Angeline’s hallmark is providing young brides, young women who are graduating and pageant delegates a gown of their dreams.
Numerous awards have been given to Bells & Bows Bridal Centre for their participation and support of the Off-Campus Education Program and work experience programs within the store and a proud sponsor of Leaders of Tomorrow as well as featured in a special edition magazine “Profiles of Excellence”. Angeline believes that true success is driven by the passion for a dream that cannot be denied. It is carried to its goal by a focus that is unrelenting. It is driven by actions that will not be contained, and driven by a force that knows no failure. Angeline believes that one should “be your kind of beautiful and let your dreams take flight.”
Okiki Akinremi
After competing on the international stage as a member of the Canadian National Track Team, winning Gold at the World Championship Games and training with the Canadian Olympic Track Team and Bobsled Team, Okiki Akinremi now uses his experience to train athletes and the public at his personal training studio, Xplosion Fitness Resolutions.
As a world-class sprinter for over 17 years, Okiki Akinremi gained a thorough understanding of how to fuse different workout techniques for optimal results. He combines core training, cardio, resistance training, plyometrics, stretching, nutrition consulting and motivational support to create personalized fitness plans that help his clients achieve their goals. Whether clients want to lose weight, tone, develop muscle or adopt a healthier lifestyle Okiki Akinremi knows how to get results.
Zack Werner
Zack Werner’s Idol School is a high performance vocal training program. Taught in small group classes in 5 week blocks of 2 hour classes, it is real singing for real singers. Zack has been a manager, artist, songwriter, producer and record executive. He is also well known as the voice of reason as a judge on Canadian Idol for six years. Raised by an opera singer mother, Zack was the lead vocalist in several bands in Toronto and Los Angeles. He also studied vocals with a wide range of teachers including the legendary Rosemary Burns. During his career, Zack played pivotal roles in the development of Down With Webster, Skye Sweetnam, Heather Russell, esthero, Robin Black, The Philosopher Kings, Patricia O’Callaghan Lukas Rossi, the first and second place winners of the Amateur Singing Contest (with John Santos) sponsored by OMNI TV and a wide list of other artists. His artists also toured with and recorded alongside John Legend, Sugar Ray, The Black-eyed Peas, Brittney Spears and many more. From all these exposures, Zack has built the program of Idol School. Technique, song choice, uniqueness, stamina and real stage presence are all key issues. This is not memememe, lalalala, ooooooo singing. This is the truth path to self discovery as a singer and artist.
Stephanie Joanne
Stephanie Joanne emerged into Toronto’s Fitness Industry in 2001, and has found herself working in many different capacities. She has worked as a Personal Trainer, Club Consultant, Group Fitness Instructor, Studio owner and everything in between. She spends her days training Toronto’s most high profile Television personalities and athletes. Regular appearances on CityLine and CityNews as their health and wellness expert have put her at the top of her game.
Stephanie’s passion for fitness originated in her early childhood where sports and active lifestyles were naturally encouraged. Her love for competition and fitness directed her to pursue a background in Kinesiology at York University in Toronto. Her love for people and passion for fitness created the genesis of a partnership between IST and Stephanie Joanne.
To date she has achieved many accomplishments in the industry; co-owner of her own supplement company (Supplements Together), a self named line of nutrition products, a role as media liaison and ambassador to Toronto s Extreme Fitness shows us that this girl is not slowing down any time soon.
Stephanie’s philosophy for her clients is to stress balance integrating fitness, nutrition and mental well-being. In hopes to share with as many people as she can, she embarks on a journey of showing you how to love your body through natural nutrition and supplementing with quality products.
Kristin Fairlie
Kristin Fairlie made her acting debut at the age of 8, and her feature film debut at the age of 12 opposite Demi Moore, Gary Oldman, and Robert Duvall in ‘The Scarlet Letter’. Kristin is a Young Artist of Hollywood Award Winner for the Showtime Movie ‘The Sweetest Gift, and was hand-picked by Sofia Coppola for the film ‘The Virgin Suicides’.
Kristin is an accomplished voice actor; well known as the voice of Little Bear on the animated series ‘Little Bear’ and the animated feature ‘The Little Bear Movie’. She starred as young Babar in the animated Feature film “Babar: King of the Elephants. She is currently the voice of surfer girls’ Bridgette on the hit series ‘Total Drama’, and Emma on ‘Stoked!’ (Teletoon/Cartoon Network).
Kristin has made several guest appearances on series such as ‘Heartland’ and ‘Murdoch Mysteries’, ‘Flashpoint’ was a recurring cast member ‘Renegade Press’ and later joined the cast of Nickelodeon’s ‘Instant Star’ to play villain of the final season.
Kristin appeared in the award-winning indie comedy “You Might as Well Live” as pop singer Stormy Blaze and most recently Kristin worked on the Julia Roberts produced film ‘Jesus Henry Christ’, and appeared in a cameo in the indie comedy ‘Moonpoint’.

Susan J. Burych
Susan J. Talent Model & Talent Management was started in 1996 by Susan J. Burych. With a love for fashion and an eye for discovering talent, Susan J. had given the agency top credit for discovering Canadian Model “DARIA WERBOWY” who now is one of the top ten super models of the world.
As the film industry grew in Toronto the agency tapped into representing principal actors for film & television as well as t.v. commercials for both union and non union work. The agency has one of the biggest pools of union actors for background work for t.v. commercials.
Susan J. was determined to expand the agency outside Ontario and took a huge chance in opening up an agency in Los Angeles, California over three years ago representing U.S. Actors who are part of The Screen Actors Guild.
Through agency’s contacts in the U.S., the agency has now broadened its division to represent not only Actors such as James Marshall, Directors such as William Crane, to script writers such a Dave Shelton. The agency’s goal is to keep on growing in the L.A. market.
Marg Brown
Marg Brown was born in Toronto and started her career as a model and was soon teaching modeling. She taught many students who went on to successfully work in the fashion industry.
In the 1980′s Marg became the fashion co-center in Canada co-coordinating and presenting 90 fashion shows annually and set up and co-ordinated fashion shows for several Toronto, New York and European designers.
Marg started out modeling, then moved on to teaching, and directing at a top modeling school in Toronto. She followed that up by commentating and organizing numerous pageant shows, and ultimately judging pageants for over 10 years.
Marg enjoys golfing, skiing and sailing during her leisure time, and is currently preparing and looking forward to the upcoming fall fashion week in September.
Dr. Natalie Archer
Dr. Natalie Archer is a dynamic Toronto dentist who began her dental career in 2001. She brings a diverse background of experience, energy and training to dentistry to both her Rosedale Family Dental Care practice, and her newest dental clinic, the Runnymede Dental Centre. Natalie is passionate about giving back and in delivering results to her community, profession and abroad. First and foremost, she simply loves being a dentist and it shows!
Dr Archer was the youngest dentist ever elected to serve on the Board of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario in 2006. She is a hospital dentist that specializes in helping patients in wheelchairs. Besides being the only elected woman dentist serving on the Board, she is most notably recognized as the past Vice President of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.
Dr. Archer is a strong advocate for education and pursuing excellence. Amongst other academic accomplishments, Dr. Archer was Valedictorian for Dalhousie University’s graduating class of 1995. Her success and volunteer work is well recognized within her profession for her leadership role to young women. She has been a keynote speaker to the Ontario Dental Association on “The Female Perspective” and how to successfully manage a work life balance. As a dentist, Dr. Archer demonstrates how a smile is ageless and that truly, one is never fully dressed without a smile.
Corey Ceccarelli
Corey Ceccarelli is a highly successful model/actor with over 15 years experience in the industry. Corey is a representative and scout for Sherrida Personal Management www.sherrida.com, one of the top modeling agencies in Toronto. Corey has travelled to various parts of North America working on modeling campaigns, print, runway, and commercials. Some of his work includes Ralph Lauren, The Bay, Fairmont Hotels, and Rogers. He has an eye for the industry and knows exactly what it takes to make it to the top. Corey is also an accomplished director, writer, producer and editor. This is Corey first year judging for Miss Teen Canada – World.
Amy Michleb
At the young age of 28, Amy is Canada’s most renowned hairstylist! Her portfolio includes globe trotting for fashion shows, seminars and education events in some of the world’s best hot spots and magazine publications worldwide! But she is recognized most from her appearance on Bravo’s hit TV show Shear Genius, where she was chosen as Canada’s only representative, making the top 6 out of over 4000 hopefuls! She owns Woody Michleb Hair Salons with four locations across the city of Toronto, a product line, and a scissor manufacturer along with her husband Woody Michleb, and most recently this entrepreneur has become a spokesperson with Proctor and Gamble for Wella Professional and Sebastian Products. As a Bronze Judge for Canada’s Hair Arts and Sciences, she has mastered Hairstyling, MakeUp, Fashion Styling, Photography, Photoshop, Graphic Design, and Runway Training so she can offer a complete show package! She is a Fun, Passionate, and Friendly Woman who is popular with her fans!
Natalie Grace
Natalie Grace has been actively involved in the film, Television, TV Commercial and Event Industry as a professional actor and event host for over 10 years. During her years of work she has worked with major celebrities such as John Stamos, Vin Diesel, Sienna Miller, Isabella Rosselini, Jude Law, Forest Witaker, Samuel Jackson, Eugene Levy, Cuba Gooding Jr… and more!! Natalie is proud to be part of the Toronto Academy of Acting as the director of International Marketing where she motivates others to pursue their acting dreams by encouraging children, teens and adults from all over the world to learn the proper techniques for auditioning for Film and Television and commercials at Toronto Academy of Acting where the schools amazing teachers and directors will determine quickly to see if you have what takes to succeed in the industry. Natalie is proud to be a part of Miss Teen Canada World Pageant and wishes much success in the industry for all of the contestants here today.
