Darian is an ambitious eighteen year old from Kirkland Lake, Ontario. She is currently in grade twelve at Kirkland Lake District Composite School, excelling in accounting, biology and chemistry. Honour roll marks and dedication will help her pursue a post-secondary education in Equine Management at Guelph University. Darian is passionate about horses, so this course, which deals with equine industry management, facility management and coaching, is the ideal path to enable her to pursue a career in the equine industry. Darian’s hobbies consist of competitive horseback riding, playing on her high school volley ball team and tutoring in her free time. Darian, a kind hearted, small town girl, has always strived to rise above the pressures of fitting in and being part of the “popular crowd.” Despite her best efforts, Darian had encountered harsh bullying beginning at a very young age. After finally gaining the courage, she put the bullying to rest with the help of family and friends. These life experiences have given her a new look on life and established a self-confidence that she’s never had before. Darian Allison is looking forward to representing Kirkland Lake at the Miss Teen Canada World Pageant and enlightening more people about the serious issue of bullying.
