Millie Rong's bio...

Millie was born in Suzhou, China in 1995 and started ballet training when she was only four years old. In the beginning it was really difficult, and Millie had to stretch everyday to relieve the pain. When she was ten years old, Millie won her first gold award. When Millie was fifteen, she came to Canada with her parents and thinks they made a good decision as she loves Canada. It is such a beautiful country and the people are friendly. Many people, even some Millie had never met before, helped her to settle in. When Millie first came to Canada, she barely spoke any English but now only one and a half years later she can have regular conversations! Millie has been a ballet dancer at the Goh Ballet Academy since she came to Canada and has learned a lot from the teachers and the students there. Last September, she performed with Goh Ballet Academy as part of a five city tour of China. The performances were successful and the audiences were really enthusiastic. Also during the trip, they saw the Great Wall of China. It was an amazing experience! Now, Millie is looking forward to the pageant in Toronto. She believes it will be a challenge but also an interesting and exciting experience!
