Cecilia’s goal is to raise awareness for my platform of Organ Donation as she is a heart transplant recipient, she believe that it is important that this cause is made known and continues to grow stronger, for a single act of kindness can save a life.

Cecilia is a 19 year old social butterfly from Burnaby British Columbia! She enjoys the performing arts, spending time with her friends and family, as well as volunteering for numerous charities and events around her community. Cecilia has been given a new lease on life; in 2006 she received a heart transplant and has been living the life she has always dreamed of. Prior to her transplant Cecilia was unable to participate in the activities that she loved as she spent most of her days fighting for her life. Today, she is an active member in her community and lives each day to the fullest, never forgetting all that she has been given. Cecilia aspires to become a pediatric cardiac nurse as well as continue to raise awareness for the importance of Organ Donation for she believes; a single act of kindness can save a life. She is looking forward to the Miss Teen Canada-World 2012 pageant as she is excited to grow and learn from all the experiences that await her as well as make new friends and memories that will last a lifetime!
