Miranda Kennedy's bio...

As a seventeen year old Miranda is a very polite, outgoing and passionate young woman who plans on getting her bachelor’s degree at university to apply her love and care for others into becoming a pediatric nurse. For over thirteen years Miranda dedicated her love of figure skating with the Georgina skating club, receiving the super spirit award in 2004 and also dedicated her time teaching younger skaters as a program assistant for 4 years. Dancing, snowboarding , singing, writing and figure skating have always been her passions. In 2009 Miranda was a member of her high school dance team and performed at several school coffee houses and local performances with her vocal class. Her compassion is evident as she volunteers for the Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay for Life for the past 4 years. Miranda has a passion for the cause, as she recently lost her father to cancer. Her loss has inspired her to take an active approach to beating this disease. Miranda’s personal experiences have helped give her a passion to change the world, one person at a time. She sees an opportunity to help others and she takes it. That is just the kind of person she is - loyal, empathetic and a leader.
