Bita is an inspiring leader in her community and with her increasing efforts to empower children and create a better society; she has proven to be a remarkable role model. One of Bita's greatest passions in life is volunteering. Over the summer, she had the opportunity to travel to Iran and become a First Aid and CPR instructor, where she taught the police force of a small town how to treat victims in life-threatening situations. While she was there she also dedicated herself to language schools and taught English courses to students of various ages. Bita is involved endlessly in her community; she participates in the Reading Buddy Program, is a Soccer Coach and is a member of the Environment and Interact club at her school. Bita loves sports and plays for a soccer and basketball club. She believes the most valuable aspect of a person is their knowledge. Through hard work and determination Bita was awarded the Hodgert Plaque for ‘All round in citizenship, academics and athletics.’ She also received academic awards for every subject including her electives, at her Junior High School. Bita enjoys academic challenges, which is why she accepted the opportunity to skip grade 10 math. Bita is participating in the IB program at her school and looks forward to studying engineering in the future.
