Meet Siera Bearchell
I'm Siera Bearchell, Miss Teen Canada-World 2009.
I am excited about the upcoming year and all that I'll be doing in my community, across the country and with Free the Children. The experience in competing and becoming Miss Teen Canada-World has been fabulous and I know this next year will be unbelievable. Competition and commitment are not new to me. I've been dancing for over 13 years, have received numerous awards and scholarships and am an undefeated golf champion. With all this going on I know how important academic achievement is and like everything else, I strive to achieve my best even in the face of adversity.
My family lost our home and our belongings in a fire. That experience taught me a whole new side to life. I'm working with the Red Cross to help people understand the importance of fire safety and prevention and work with people in similar situations so they can see you can rebuild and there is hope for the future.
